Radiological Associates of Sacramento (RAS) Medical Group, Inc. announced today that Neil Miller will serve as the firm's new executive vice president

For Immediate Release (Sacramento, Calif., March 19, 2012) – Radiological Associates of Sacramento (RAS) Medical Group, Inc. announced today that Neil Miller will serve as the firm's new executive vice president; he assumed his role February 27th.

Miller joins RAS after leaving his position as senior vice president of Business Development at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he managed seven service lines across two campuses. During his nearly 10 years at John Muir, Miller led numerous initiatives and spearheaded the launch of outpatient surgery services in Walnut Creek and Brentwood. As a valued member of the Senior Leadership Team, he played a significant role in the development and approval of the Cardiovascular Institute and associated consolidation of cardiovascular services at John Muir Medical Center, Concord campus. Prior to joining John Muir, Miller served as president of Imaging Technology Group and Bay Medical Management.

According to Dr. Jonathan Breslau, RAS president and chairman of the board, the search for an executive vice president began in 2011. Dr. Breslau, who headed up the search committee, said the 95-year old company sought an individual with a progressive vision and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of health care organizations and individual providers.

“We were fortunate to have had several candidates who met the requirements we were seeking,” Breslau said. “Neil clearly stood out among them. His proven track record in imaging, cancer care, medical management and healthcare technology perfectly fit the skill set we hoped to find and his enthusiasm to build and strengthen relationships solidified the decision.
